Promises on Te Tiriti o Waitangi

Promises on Te Tiriti o Waitangi
In this doc I will be talking about Te Tiriti o Waitangi into my own words
I’ve got this Idea from an amazing site https://www.waiako.com/programs/collection-ahmt0cvzxgg?cid=1654363
This Site has helped me finding the right things about Te Tiriti o Waitangi

Do you know what a Tiriti (Treaty) is?
The Aotearoa treaty was a form of written agreements between Maori and the Pakeha.
A treaty is also something that has promises on it - Maoris and the Pakeha wrote their names on it, so it would show that they will keep the promises.
Te Tiriti o Waitangi has a lot of important promises about Aotearoa it was signed in Waitangi on the 4-6 of February.
Thousands of years after the Maori discovered Aotearoa, people from other Islands started to come into Aotearoa, Some of them came from Britain.

Do you know where Britain is?
Britain is lying by the west side of Europe - Britain is also lying by the consisting of England and scotland.
The British Queen (Queen Victoria) wanted her people to live in Aotearoa, so her people wrote Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
A part of it said - if the Maori were to sell their land only to her, because her people were coming to Britain.
The Queen would make sure to look after her people in Aotearoa and to also protect the Maori - and she would not disturb the maori people at all.
Maori had only sold their land if they wanted to. Most of the Maori didn’t because they already had their marae on it and they couldn’t just sell that because their marae is Tapu.
But Remember the Maori also said if they were to sell land they will only sell it to the British Queen - how so ever that Promises didn’t last long, a few months after their promise - the pakeha would come into family’s marae, whenua and kill our people or they would rape our Wahine so the conection with Pakeha and Maori would stay together forever - that is why it is very rare to see full blooded Maoris or Islanders.
In Te Tiriti o Waitangi there are three articles.

Article 1 is  kawanatanga The Queen promised to protect Aotearoa.
Article 2 is tira rangatiratanga Maori kept all their land and Taonga maori had the right to self datumiem their lives, but if they were to sell any land they were only to sell it to the Queen.
Article 3 was citizenship the Queen said that she would protect the Maori as British citizens.
Many Maori people signed the Tiriti in Waitangi but.
Did you know that the Tiriti wasn’t only signed in Waitangi, there were 9 sheets/Treaties that were made because there were so many Maori tamariki.
The nga Iwi that signed that Tiriti in Waitangi - 123 were from Ngapuhi, 12 Rangatira were from Ngati Wai, 8 Rangatira were from Te Roroa, 40 Rangatira were from Te Rarawa, 1 Rangatira was from Ngati Toa, 2 Rangatira were from Ngati Tuwharetoa and 19 Rangatira were from Ngati Paoa. Now that's a lot of Rangatira.

The very first Tiriti was of course Waitangi 500 Maori rangatira signed it.
The second sheet was Manukau-Kāwhia 13 Rangatira has signed this Tiriti - 3 Rangatira were from Ngati Whatua, 6 Rangatira were from waikato, 7 Rangatira were from Ngati Maniapoto and a lot more
The third Tiriti was Waikato-Manukau 39 Rangatira has signed this Tiriti I guess you could say that Waitangi was the biggest Tiriti that was signed this Tiriti was also the only Tiriti that was in Te Reo Maori as for the rest were in Te Reo Pakeha.
There was a Tiriti from Tauranga with 21 Rangatira that had signed it.
And a lot more - the sad part is that our people signed it for nothing because the Pakeha went against it, the funny thing is that they went against their own Treaty, I mean if your gonna go against it then don’t make one.
But I know the reason for them to make the Tiriti (Treaty) was because they wanted our people to think they were good people, and because they made our people sick by bringing there sick people to Aotearoa - our people weren't use to it so most of our people died from it and the Pakeha easily stole our land.
